Naming:
Alan Moore was given the name Turbo.

The pack was off ten minutes late as we waited for the stragglers to arrive. This hash started off on the horse trails in Saddlebrooke. The horse shit was everywhere. It was all we could do to stop Dead Animal from running back to his car for a shovel and a pail. He kept muttering something about his compost.

The weather was looking a bit iffy (snowed the day before) but low and behold, the sun came out just as the hounds were off. The temperature was a balmy 10 degrees. The terrain was a mix of forest, swamp, sand quarry and dirt road.

Numerous checks and false trails were laid to slow the FRB’s. Richard managed to hit every false trail on the hash. After a while, the pack would ask Richard which way he was going and then go off in the other direction, confident that the right way was not Richard’s way. At one point, Richard and Tanya were running in circles on a tiny island in the quarry (the island was only about 30 feet across), appearing to be totally confused. After a few loops, Tanya took the plunge and crossed the pond into the depths of the forest. She finally found us at the next check point. She couldn’t understand why her shoes felt so heavy. We think Richard is still going around in circles on the island.

Foxy tore her Achilles tendon but still managed to limp half way through the hash before requiring an escort back to the car park.

Alan Moore - what can we say? We saw him here, we saw him there, we saw him everywhere (sorry). We actually saw him doing loops around each of the check points, trying to keep warm while the rest of the pack caught up. Alan was named on this run - Turbo he was and Turbo he is.

After the Circle, everyone enjoyed the pints and the sun for an hour or so before heading off to Moe’s Deli and Bar.
