Report by Turkish Delight, Stand-in-Scribe

Better Homes and Gardens Award

Yogi execercised his inimitable sense of style in setting up his campsite at Camp Nouveau Monde.  The tent was surrounded by a neat picket fence with a pot of purple pansies tastefully accenting the entrance.  Scribe is not making this up.  Scribe is shocked to report that Neutron Bomb felt compelled to keep up with her neighbor and "borrowed" a floral arrangement from the ladies' toilet at the camp site.

Musical Notes

Many songs were sung around the campfire Friday night.  In a moment of intense excitement, Joyce leapt into the fire thereby singeing her flippers.  The usual musical numbers were enhanced by Capette Canada's lovely singing voice (CC's little sister).  After the fifth rendition of American Pie however, visiting Jokeville Hashers along with a few MHers began to feel faint and Scribe detected sounds of puking.  Several more hardy types who will remain Nameless were still singing songs at 6:30 the next morning.

The Boating Party

Jokeville and Montreal hashers went boating.  Turkish was thrown out once, Total F*ckup three (?) times, along with several Jokevillers.  Having been thrown out herself, Scribe struggles to recall events exactly.  A number of whimpish types (Captain, Yogi, Witchy, Penguin, Flipper, Jokevillers Short and Curly and others) returned after the event was only half over.  The masochists stayed on, froze to death and then claimed to have enjoyed it hugely.  Meanwhile non-boaters Neutron, Lizard and Jason made efficient use of their stay at base campe to reckie and lay a thrilling trail for the next day.  Many thanks to Witchy for organizing an excellent event!

Trail Report and Down Downs

We will be kind and say that the trail featured some interesting checkbacks and was just a wee tad ont the short side.  Dead Animal functioned admirably as last-minute stand-in GM in the absence of mysteriously absent Numbskull.   Down downs to hares Neutron, Lizard and James for standing in for the originally scheduled hares, Witchy and Yogi, who failed to perform.  Down down to a Jokeville Hasher for falling off a bridge, resulting in beaucoup spillage.  The Jokeville GM, Two Jugs, awarded a down down to another Jokeville Hasher for promoting interprovincial harmony.  Apparently, this tribute was also intended for a Montreal Lizard -- I mean Hasher -- who shall remain nameless.   Lots of other down downs but I wasn't taking notes so you will have to use your imagination.  I know I got one for using Neutron's hair drier.
